• Use the properties of JSF to customize the controls to allow you to map to production U.I. requirements
• Understand the JSF page lifecycle

  -> Audience
  This course is designed for application developers who have programmed in a 3rd or 4th generation language – and who need to build leading-edge applications using Rational Business Developer.
  § Prerequisites
• You must have the following software installed:
• RAD or WDSC (7.0.0.2) or WDz at level 7.0.0.3 or later
• RBDe at level 7.0.0.3 or later
• This course assumes that the student has the basic knowledge of IS technologies, data processing, software and have programmed for at least two or more years in a language such as: COBOL, RPG, PL/1, Pascal, or some 4th Generation Language or tool.
• Knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) for database access is assumed as well.
• Basic PC and mouse-driven development skills is also assumed.
• Eclipse development – Terms, tools and navigation
• EGL:
  § The language
  § Accessing the database through EGL’s SQL keywords
• Some understanding of U.I. and basic screen development
  Note – this class is designed to provide as much of the necessary information for doing leading-edge web-development as possible. To that end, there may be some topics that are either too basic (introductory) or too complex (advanced) for any given student. The authors apologize in advance for this situation
